Packaging:
The packaging is very nice and feels well-done. It looks clean, modern, and higher-end.
Texture & Appearance:
The shampoo itself is creamy and a light lavender color, which initially felt promising.
Performance:
It does not lather very much, and I found myself needing to use more product than I normally would. After rinsing, my hair felt extremely stripped — almost like I had used a strong clarifying shampoo rather than something meant for regular use.
Scent:
Unfortunately, the smell is very unpleasant. It has a strong chemical odor, and the scent lingers in the hair even after rinsing, which I really did not like.
Overall:
While the packaging is great, the shampoo left my hair feeling overly dry and stripped, and the chemical smell was a deal-breaker for me. I would not purchase this again.

Silverist is formulated without those ingredients, which means it behaves differently. Because it is sulfate-free, it uses gentler surfactants and foams more softly, and hair is left feeling lighter and less coated after rinsing. For best results with sulfate-free shampoos, it helps to fully saturate the hair with warm water before applying, as foaming is activated by water rather than heavy detergents.
Regarding scent, we use a naturally fragrance blend rather than synthetic fragrance. Scent is very personal, and we understand it won’t be a fit for everyone.

Are the products fragrance-free?

Are these formulas alcohol free?
Stearyl and cetyl alcohols are non-drying fatty alcohols that are included in our formulas for their excellent moisturizing and conditioning benefits for the hair. They help to nourish and smooth the hair. Isopropyl alcohol does appear in our conditioner formula as a minor ingredient as it is part of a blended ingredient complex that includes the use of a small amount of isopropyl alcohol as a solvent.
Are the formulas gluten-free?
While we do not add gluten to our formulas, Silverist formulas are not certified gluten-free. We do not perform additional gluten-free testing. If you are concerned about a gluten reaction or allergy, we recommend you do a patch test prior to use and consult your physician.
